On Thursday, May 8th at 6:00 p.m., the club will host the monthly meeting of the Berkshire County League of Sportsmen. This regular gathering brings together representatives from all the county’s sportsmen’s clubs. At this meeting, Tom Brule from DCR Forestry will deliver an in-depth presentation on the state’s forestry and logging practices, with a particular focus on the Berkshires.  Massachusetts is 62 percent forested, and these forests provide an estimated $4.6 billion in annual economic value through forest products, water filtration, natural flood control, and tourism.
